Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA) introduced H. Res. 789, Censuring Representative Paul Gosar. The resolution formally censured Representative Gosar and removed him from the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on Oversight and Reform for posting a video on his official social media accounts that depicted Representative Gosar killing Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and attacking President Biden. On November 17, the House approved the resolution by a vote of 223-207 and one member voting “present” (House roll call vote 379). YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE. With the resolution being adopted by the House, Representative Gosar was formally censured and removed from the aforementioned committees.
