Help LCV respond to threats to our communities and our climate in 2025 Give Now
Washington, D.C.– The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) congratulates Representatives Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07), Veronica Escobar (TX-16), Sylvia Garcia (TX-29), Jasmine Crockett (TX-30), Marc Veasey (TX-33), and Greg Casar (TX-35), and Representative-elect Julie Johnson (TX-32) on their victories in Texas. We look forward to working together in the 119th Congress and beyond to continue making progress on addressing the climate crisis and protecting our democracy.
“Texans deserve leaders who won’t stand in the way of our clean energy progress and who will put people over polluters, which is why voters elected these climate champions,” said LCV President Gene Karpinski. “Communities across Texas continue to experience the disastrous impacts of the fossil-fueled climate crisis and increased unnatural, record-breaking extreme weather. We look forward to working with these climate champions who will fight for our climate future and environmental justice.”
These are just some of the climate champions who won up and down the ballot in Texas, demonstrating that leaning into environmental issues is both good policy and good politics.
