Washington, D.C. – The League of Conservation Voters released the following statement on EPA administrator Scott Pruitt’s intent to gut the Clean Power Plan from Legislative Representative Sara Jordan:

“The Clean Power Plan is one of the most important actions our country has taken to tackle climate change – it would provide vital public health benefits, especially for those who need them most, while encouraging and accelerating investments in clean energy. But the Trump administration cares more about polluters’ profits than protecting our health and climate. Today’s decision is cynical, reckless and out of step with the majority of people who want clean air.”
