Washington, D.C. — In response to the Biden-Harris Administration’s launch of a new coalition to strengthen building performance standards, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) issued the following statement from Government Affairs Advocate Art Terrazas:

“We applaud the Biden-Harris Administration’s creation of this innovative coalition. This endeavor to create new building performance standards tackles another front in our efforts to combat climate change. Strengthening building performance standards is one of many climate proposals LCV has advocated for that has multiple benefits for communities across the country. Not only will these projects help fight climate change, they will also help struggling families reduce their energy burden and live in healthier communities. These new standards will have economic benefits as well — including creating new high-quality jobs and reducing the overall operating cost of these buildings.”
