LCV Launches Digital and Billboard Ads in Michigan to support the Build Back Better Act, alongside President Biden’s visit

Detroit, MIToday, President Biden will speak at the grand opening of GM’s Factory Zero, which is reopening as a new facility for electric vehicles and trucks. His speech will focus on the first piece of the President’s agenda: major investments in the country’s shipping, transportation, public transit, clean water, and electric vehicle infrastructure. Alongside his visit, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) will run a digital ad campaign in Detroit and surrounding communities, as well as a billboard on the Lodge Freeway at Wyoming Avenue, urging the President and Congress to finish the job and pass the Build Back Better Act. This is Congress’ chance to pass bold climate action by investing in clean energy, high-quality union jobs, and environmental justice.

Polling continues to show wide support for President Biden’s build back better agenda. Polling from, Data for Progress found 67% support overall among Michigan voters for the Build Back Better Agenda, including 70% of independents. Support was even higher on specific issues covered under the plan like removing lead water pipes (83%) and expanding clean energy investments (71%).
