Huffman, Bera, Matsui, Khanna, Ruiz, Brownley, Napolitano, Aguilar, Barragán, Porter, and Levin.

“The path to maintaining an environmental majority in Congress runs through California. Our State is witnessing deadly and costly wildfires, unreliable water sources with an ongoing drought, increasingly hotter years, unhealthy pollution levels, and degrading biodiversity and ecosystems,” said Mike Young, Political & Organizing Director, California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters). “California has the most competitive seats right now, and it is important our representatives continue to lead the nation in pushing for climate justice. These incumbent leaders for Congress have demonstrated that they are fighting for climate action and the champions who will protect California’s health and precious resources for generations to come.”

“It has never been more important to have leaders in Congress who are fighting for the transformative  climate action to invest in clean energy, create good-paying jobs, and advance environmental justice that we need. This is especially true in a state like California where communities know all too well the devastating consequences of inaction on the climate crises and prioritizing corporate polluters and profits over people,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “Speaker Pelosi and the other members we are endorsing today have all been strong advocates for climate action and environmental justice in Congress and are thrilled to support their campaigns for re-election so they can continue to fight for our democracy, clean energy, justice and jobs.”

California Environmental Voters’ other endorsements for 2022 can be found here. LCV Action Fund’s other endorsements to date for the 2022 election cycle can be found here. LCV Action Fund is committed to helping to protect and expand the pro-environment House and Senate majorities and will endorse additional candidates in the months to come.

About California Environmental Voters

California Environmental Voters (formerly the California League of Conservation Voters) believes the climate crisis is here and this moment requires transformative change. California has the policy solutions to stop climate change but lacks the political will to do it at the rate and scale that’s necessary. EnviroVoters exists to build the political power to solve the climate crisis, advance justice, and create a roadmap for global action. We organize voters, elect and train candidates, and hold lawmakers accountable for bold policy change. We won’t stop until we have resilient, healthy, thriving communities, and a democracy and economy that is just and sustainable for all. Join us at www.envirovoters.org

About LCV Action Fund

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) Action Fund, the connected federal political action committee (PAC) of the League of Conservation Voters, works to elect leaders who stand up for a clean, healthy environment and to defeat anti-environment candidates who oppose climate action. Since the 1990 election cycle, LCVAF has helped elect and re-elect 95 U.S. Senators and 460 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Over the last several years, our efforts have also helped elevate climate change and clean energy as critical issues in key elections.
