In ten years of running independent campaigns on behalf of congressional candidates, LCV has invested over $12.5 million in our 445 endorsed candidates, 80% of whom have won.  In 2004, LCV won seven of eight Congressional races where we ran independent campaigns.  This cycle, we will be working in competitive races across the country to highlight the conservation records and achievements of LCV-endorsed candidates.  Many of them are challenging candidates with such horrendous records that they have been named to the 2006 Dirty Dozen.  LCV's involvement in these races will be a key factor in re-electing environmental leaders and ousting anti-conservation incumbents.
